MATERIAL
Otter-Tech, Inc. warranties its underdecking panels to be free of defects in both material and workmanship at the time of manufacture and shipment to the dealer. Otter-Tech, Inc. also offers a 20-year paint and rust-free aluminum warranty.
PERFORMANCE
The underdecking paneling must be properly installed, using poly pitching rails with a 1¼” slope for every 12′. Stainless steel screws with rubber washers must be used to fasten the underdecking panels to the poly pitching rails. Improperly installed underdecking may not perform as designed.
STIPULATIONS
Poly pitching rails must be clear of all obstructions and properly pitched and secured before the underdecking panels are installed. Installing aluminum panels with copper materials is not recommended. Panels must not be installed in direct contact with pressure-treated wood. The underdecking must be vented.
REMEDIES
Any panel that fails to meet this warranty during the warranty period will, at the sole discretion of Otter-Tech, Inc, be replaced or repaired. Otter-Tech, Inc shall not be liable beyond the replacement or repair of the said defective panel and shall not be liable for labor to replace or repair defective panel or for any punitive damages or incidental, consequential, special, direct or indirect damages of any kind whatsoever.
EXCLUSIONS
This limited warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover any other damages or material failure that is beyond the control of the manufacturer such as damage caused by falling trees or branches, hurricanes, ladders, or the objects placed against panels, incompatible material, copper and aluminum reacting to each other, improper installation, or natural or unnatural conditions. When spraying decks make sure spray or stain material will not affect aluminum. Uniform fading is not considered to be a product defect.
